University housing residents can change their meal plans during the three designated change weeks below. Freshmen residents may change between the three traditional plans (Flex 5, Flex 7 and Meals Plus), while 2nd Year/Upper Division residents may choose between five plans (Flex 5, Flex 7, Meals Plus, 2nd Year Standard or 2nd Yr Basic Plan).
To change a meal plan, the student meal plan holder must complete and sign a new agreement with SDSU Dining. An online request form will be available on the main page of our website during the designated change periods only.
A $10 change fee is required at the time the request is submitted and may be paid by credit or debit card.
Important: Request forms must be completed by students as the account holders. Meal plan cancellations are not permitted at any time once a plan has been selected, regardless of class year.
Billing adjustments may take an additional 4–6 weeks to appear in mySDSU. As the university operates on a prepaid basis, services such as meal plans may be subject to suspension for non-payment. Students should keep their accounts current while billing adjustments are being processed.
Please note: When changing out of a Meals Plus or a 2nd Year Plan into a Flex plan, any remaining balance on the existing plan will not transfer or carry over to the new plan.
