SDSU Meal Plans. 2020-2021

Meals included in the meal plan are accepted at The Garden and UTK and carry a maximum value of $13.85 per meal.  The declining debit dollars can be used at any participting meal plan location and replenish Monday mornings on valid weeks.  Freshman are required to select a meal plan, for Sophomore/Upper Division students, meal plans are optional.  No meal plans may be canceled at any time once selected.  All meal plans can be supplemented with the SDSU ONE card.  

*Meal plans are NOT valid for merchandise, alcohol, gift cards or gratuity.  

*Due to the fluidity of COVID-19, meal plans are subject to change before fall.

MINI

$95/week declining debit dollars AND
80 meals per academic year 
Unused funds rollover weekly, expire at the end of spring semester with no refund of unused funds

SELECT

$125/week declining debit dollars AND
60 meals per academic year 
Unused funds rollover weekly, expire at the end of spring semester with no refund of unused funds

PRIME VALUE

$140/week declining debit dollars AND
45 meals per academic year 
Unused funds rollover weekly, expire at the end of spring semester with no refund of unused funds

Can meal plans be changed?

Yes, university housing residents on one of the three traditional plans (Mini, Select, Prime Value) can change their meal plans during the three designated change weeks below. The meal plan holder may change their meal plan by signing a new agreement with the SDSU Dining Office.  Your meal plan may be changed during the following designated dates by contacting the SDSU Dining Office.  Due to current social distancing guidelines, this can be done by calling (619)594-7640 between 8am and 3pm during the designated change week.  Students may choose to visit our office located in the Education Building, room 112, but this is not encouraged. Office hours for meal plan changes are Monday - Friday 8am – 3pmRequests must come directly from students as the account holders.

  • September 14-18, 2020 - Effective Monday, September 21, 2020
  • November 2-6, 2020 - Effective Monday, January 18, 2021
  • February 8-12, 2021 - Effective Monday, February 22, 2021

*No meal balances from your old plan will carry over when moving up in meal plan tier, however, declining dollars accrued through effective meal plan change date will carry over into the new plan
